Vaughan, Canada CDC Contracting Inc. Full time

Position will be a part of our operations field team to prevent and eliminate injury and illness to employees and assist company to comply with safety laws. As well as inspect workplaces and minimize or eliminate hazards from the workplace.
- Inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
- Protect the employees, customers and the environment.
- Identify potentially hazardous biological, chemical and radiological materials and collect samples of them for analysis.
- Recommend changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs.
- Manage and update corporate safety policy
- Investigate accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future
- Manage all WSIB claims and compliance for company
- Perform additional assignments per management’s direction

**Required Experience**
- A bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety, or a related scientific field, such as biology, chemistry or engineering.
- 5+ years related experience in the construction industry
- 5+ years of experience in a EHS position
- Experience with civil underground (Sewer & Watermains) & earthworks projects is required
- Valid Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract are required
