Project Manager - Digitial Health

Temporary Full-Time position (approximately 24 months)

The Project Manager, Digital Health will be responsible for strategic system implementation/integration initiatives. Overseeing all components of the project life cycle, inclusive of business proposals, procurement, planning, execution and delivery. Working closely in partnership and collaboration with external partners, hospital clinical and non-clinical operations to achieve successful end-user adoption. This role will work with a number of different internal and external stakeholders at all levels from executive to front-line staff. The ideal candidate will have a proven success track record on large-scale healthcare information technology (IT) system implementations, transformational change management, team building and coordinated execution. The incumbent will also have a good understanding of Ontario’s healthcare landscape in both the acute care and community care setting, and strategically apply solutions to existing challenges. Contribute to safe quality, care by • The Digital Health Project Manager will embody excellence in customer service, commitment to high quality communications and a strong focus on relationship development with project stakeholders.• Responsible for project plan and timeline development, project budget control and tracking, strategy development to align with Mackenzie Health’s Digital Health vision of the smart hospital and ultimately the execution of the project to successful delivery.• Managing project expectations appropriately throughout delivery to ensure risks are clearly identified and mitigation strategies are in place to minimize impact.• Collaborating closely with operational key leaders and staff who are supporting clinical and non-clinical programs, third party vendors and other organizational teams.• Requirements gathering, workflow development and process mapping for both current and future state to support a successful change.• Managing project activities and project progress. • Developing business cases and proposals as needed.• Project status reporting on a regular basis to all levels of leadership. • Providing change management expertise and leadership to project team members.• Facilitates the implementation and utilization of tools and templates for project delivery. • Helps define metrics that allow the team to measure and track outcomes to ensure we are meeting the strategic goals of the project.  What you must have? • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Technology or health related discipline
• Master’s Degree preferred in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Technology or health related discipline• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting and 3 years experience in a project management capacity or a minimum 3 years experience in project management or leading complex change initiatives in healthcare environments such as hospitals, government or private sector.• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred or working towards the PMP designation.• ITIL Certification an asset. What else do you bring? • Project management skills with extensive knowledge of project management principles and tools.• Demonstrated success in leading and implementing technology solutions.• Demonstrated ability to facilitate organizational change, develop and implement policies and processes to support strategic goals and directions.• In-depth knowledge about current best practices related to technology trends, electronic medical record and project management.• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver key messages in a manner that is easily understood by stakeholders.• Confident in public speaking and delivering presentations to executive level members.• Creative, analytical, and strategic thinker with strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with strong initiative to achieve high standards of service and performance.• Strong leadership, collaboration and mentoring skills and an ability to communicate, motivate and work collaboratively with all levels of staff.• Experience with managing and reporting project finance. • Superior computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio and Project and strong technical knowledge.• Evidence of team approach to negotiation and problem resolution.• Proven attendance record.• Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.• Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.• Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.• Models behaviour that is aligned with the values of Mackenzie Health – Excellence, Leadership and Empathy.• Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients within a challenging and exciting health care environment.*May be required to work at any site of Mackenzie Health.
