**Position Overview**

The manager occupying this position manages certain services included in the health professionals in rehabilitation inpatient and outpatient, and the community mental health and addiction portfolio. The primary point of service is located in Hawkesbury, but the position covers satellite sites in Casselman and Rockland. The Manager supervises staff, daily operations and oversees the efficient and effective deployment of resources. The Manager is responsible for the implementation and evaluation of unit specific objectives, projects and indicators as well as the alignment of specific unit goals with corporate goals. The manager reports to the director of the portfolio.

Functions of the position include:

- Prioritise, develop, implement and evaluate the services/clinical programs in collaboration with the director, the medical chief and the interdisciplinary teams.
- Manage and supervise daily operations and resolve problems as they arise (1st line).
- Ensure program performance, quality improvement, incident management and risk reduction within a just culture.
- Promote client-centered care and client safety.
- Promote clinical efficiency and evidence based-care.
- Support the development of a positive collaborative work environment and facilitate effective team functioning.
- Work closely with partners and various stakeholders.

As a pre-condition of employment:

- All new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
- As of now, HGH will require all employees, physicians, learners, contractors and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

**What we are looking for**
- University degree in a health science branch or health science management.
- Member in good standing of a professional regulatory body in Ontario.
- Minimum of 3 years in a health administrative position, including management and staff supervision or related field.
- Clinical experience in rehabilitation and/or mental health/addictions.
- Knowledge of acute care and community services in the area.
- Leadership skills: ability to develop trust, inclusiveness, change management, coaching, innovation, ability to communicate a shared vision, etc.
- People management skills: in-depth communication skills, conflict management, agility, self-management, etc.
- Decision-making skills: critical thinking and cognitive flexibility, maturity and emotional intelligence, problem-solving, managerial courage, etc.
- Capacity to work in stressful situations during organizational changes.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Possess a working knowledge of both official languages.
- Possess computer skills.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and open to working out of different sites, to sharing an “on call” schedule, and on occasion, to work outside the regular frame of work (hours and location).
