**Position Overview**

Reporting to the Vice-President, Operations, the Director is accountable for the planning, coordination, and evaluation of patient care services including quality, and risk management for the Ambulatory Clinics, in harmony with the mission and values of the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital. The Director is responsible for the management of all aspects of the operations of the Ambulatory Clinics, Central Registration and Booking, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective quality patient care and customer service and the deployment of human, fiscal and material resources. He/she will ensure the use of best practices and clinical standards and foster effective working and sustainable relationships with employees and medical staff, across the organization.

**Criminal Check**

As a pre-condition of employment:

- All new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
- As of now, HGH will require all employees, physicians, learners, contractors and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

**What we are looking for**
- Undergraduate degree in Management or in a discipline relevant to the position or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master in Health Administration is an asset
- At least five (5) years' professional experience, including two (2) or more in a management or supervisory position
- A recognized coach, mentor, and facilitator, who fosters collaboration and will ensure that the services are integrated and aligned with patient needs as well as the needs of health-care providers
- Very good understanding of the health sector, its administration and legal framework
- Ability to mobilize teams using a partnership, collaboration and change management approach
- Demonstrate the ability to provide leadership, support, and critical analysis in stressful, complex and emotional situations
- Experience with LEAN
- Knowledge of Accreditation Canada requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in French and English
