**Job Summary**:
In this role you will be reporting to the Manager, Human Resources and CEO’s Office. In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing processes related to the corporate employee lifecycle.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage HR initiatives, including but not limited to performance management, employee relations, and diversity and inclusion programs.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements are met.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and develop training to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Support in the development, update, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Manage the annual policy sign off and tracking.
- Implement and manage performance planning processes, providing guidance and support to managers and employees to drive performance improvements.
- Manage employee escalation issues as required.
- Work to resolve issues promptly and fairly, maintaining a positive work environment.
- Support the Manager, Human Resources and CEO’s office on the implementation and roll-out of a Corporate HR Management System (HRMS).
- Prepare reports and analysis on HR metrics and trends for management review.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
**Qualifications & Years of Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- HR certification (e.g. CPHR) is preferred but not required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR roles, in mid-size organizations, with a focus on leading initiatives and overseeing day-to-day HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- An Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
- This role has no direct reports but will be responsible for training of junior team members.
**Work Schedule**:
**Full time**: 37.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday
**Hybrid** - BCIB currently follows a hybrid schedule where employees work from the BCIB head office a minimum of three days. Based on the needs and demands of the role, more days may be required.
**Compensation**:
The range offered for this position is: $73,00 - $78,000 annually.
