If this describes you, then the Economist Internship Program is the ideal role for you to begin your career and reach your full potential

As an Economic Intern, you will be primarily responsible for providing support in critical economic analysis and modelling to inform strategic decision-making and program/policy development. You will provide technical support in developing economic analysis and modelling approaches, as well as research and analytical support regarding relevant issues such as macroeconomic developments, business conditions, competitiveness, job creation, trade and investment.

Functioning as part of a highly collaborative team, you will provide support in building and maintaining a variety of economic information products, such as briefing notes, environmental scans and presentations. You will have a solid understanding of Alberta’s economy and its industries as well as strong skills in analyzing data and communicating results through visualizations and in written form.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Contribute to economic research and analysis to support the required current state analysis of industries, demographic groups, regions or any other relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with the development of economic or financial performance modelling, from which the analyses will inform strategic decision-making and policy recommendations.
- Provide the necessary data and analysis for briefing material requested by senior executive staff, including information notes and PowerPoint presentations.

**Qualifications**:
Recent university graduation (Bachelors or Masters) in economics, business, or a related field within the last two years; no work experience required.

**Salary**:
$2,310.48 - $3,030.81 biweekly ($60,303.53 - $79,104.14/ Year)
