**Department Overview**: The position is part of the product finance organization within the Video Security & Access Control (VS&AC) division. This product finance team’s primary objective is partnering with MSI’s product management and engineering teams to drive the “Alta” Cloud Physical Security portfolio forward. The team is responsible for driving and forecasting revenue, margin, and R&D investment across the business with an additional focus on next generation products & strategy.

The Alta team within MSI is one of the most innovative physical structure security providers in the market. Composed of an experienced executive team of proven experts leading the modernization of the workplace with a new industry-leading platform that streamline cloud access control and video management while tightening security.
Through analysis, forecasting, long-range planning and partnering with business leaders, this Finance team enables strategic decision-making and helps contextualize financial implications across the company. In joining this team, you will work with a group of thoughtful, insightful individuals, all of whom are committed to solving complex problems and ensuring the continued growth of the company and its platforms.

**_ What you’ll do & more..._**
- Assist in projecting monthly sales, revenue, and gross margin profitability for the business unit through data organization, analytics, and partnering with key stakeholders throughout sales, supply chain, and accounting
- Develop and maintain the tools which leadership relies upon for monitoring the performance and health of the business in real time
- Identify risks and opportunities to the forecast and work with the business to provide financial insights to assist with decision making on strategic initiatives
- Partner with the team and business leaders to create our financial review to present to executives on a monthly basis
- Manage budgets for key functional teams by partnering with business leaders and ensuring sound financial decisions are made
- Support special projects that will help automate internal processes and improve efficiencies
- Other ad-hoc strategic analyses and work across the business, as necessary

**Additional Skills**
- In-depth knowledge of B2B, built-to-ship and/or software as a service (SaaS) revenue models, a plus
- Exposure to NetSuite, SAP, Oracle and/or other accounting systems
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills. Familiarity with building complex financial models and manipulating large datasets to help the company make strategic recommendations
- SQL proficiency (or a willingness to learn) a plus
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with a formidable attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively to drive cross-functional execution on business goals
- Elevated pride of ownership in work product
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves, be additive when and where you can, and support team tasks to help out the company when necessary
- MBA or CPA preferred while coming from a high-growth startup or well established company
- When asked to deliver or solve for “X”, you’re keeping your eyes out for how to recommend the opportunities for “Y” and “Z”
