**Tridon Communications is currently seeking a HR Business Partner with experience in the Telecommunications, Oil and Gas industries, on a 16 month contract based at our Edmonton Head Office.**

**Job Summary**:
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing support to the Vice President of Human Resources with a primary focus on executing the Human Resources function within the organization. They will be the primary touch point for their assigned portfolio for all HR activities as well as focused on solidifying and executing HR best practices for the organization. A true generalist they will act as a catch all for all HR assignments and support all departments within the Organization; focusing on attraction and retention, recruitment, onboarding, Employee relations, performance management, best practices as well as project implementation, compensation, benefits, and other HR related administrative duties and special projects.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Attraction and retention execution and strategy
- Onboarding process ownership and oversight
- Develop and execute an overall hiring strategy with the assistance of the VP HR and based on business needs
- Employee Relations: day to day Manager and staff inquires
- Performance management: assist with roll out and management of performance reviews
- HR reporting and data analysis; maintain, prepare and present statistical reports as required
- HR Modernization and UKG Pro project implementation
- Assist with Employee retention strategies
- Assist with exit interviews as required
- Policy development and deployment
- Development and maintenance of job descriptions
- Provide on-going support to HR Leadership and HR department as required
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Other duties as required

**Must Haves**:

- Diploma or Degree with a focus in Human Resources is required
- Certified Human Resources Professional designation considered an asset
- 5 + years of experience in related HR Generalist Roles
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and computer databases
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Effective listening and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Prioritization and organizational skills
- Safety First Mindset
- Team Player

**Physical Demands**:
The HR Business Partner must be able to spend 90% of the day sitting, and 10% walking/standing. The incumbent will be also required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time. There is a possibility of eye and/or joint strain related to operating computer equipment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
