**Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper**
**Organization**: St Mary’s General Hospital Volunteer Association (SMGHVA)
**Location**: Hybrid
**Job Type**: Part-Time (8-10 hours per week)
**Introduction**: Join our team at SMGHVA, a dedicated group committed to supporting healthcare excellence in our community. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join us on a part-time basis. **Responsibilities**:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process payroll and benefits administration, HST and WSIB reporting
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledgers
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
- Work closely with the Treasurer and Finance Committee as required
**Requirements**:
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience using QuickBooks Desktop, Outlook and Microsoft Office
- At least 2 years’ experience in charitable bookkeeping
- A solid knowledge and ongoing knowledge of charitable law
- Experience with year-end procedures including external audits and charitable receipting
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
**Compensation**:$25.00 - $35.00 Per Hour
**About Us**: For more than 90 years, the St. Mary’s General Hospital Volunteer Association (VA) has provided services and funds to support the patients and families of our community. The major source of the funding raised is from the VA-owned Madeleine’s Gift Shop and Tim Hortons, along with the Vendor Program.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 10 per week
