**ROLE SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Worker performs tasks related to the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment. Works in collaboration with the departments and provides technical support to the production team while following the rules of Occupational Health and Safety. Must be a team player and have general mechanical skills. They offer solutions to fix the problems or failures of the process and makes themselves a pillar of the maintenance team. Theirs skills and understanding of the production and automated equipment push them to continuously improve production.

**TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain and repair plant equipment and machinery.
- Improve the reliability of the systems in place.
- Perform all required repairs as well as preventative maintenance of mechanical and production equipment.
- Perform necessary repairs to buildings and ancillary systems.
- Complete inspections of various equipment and facilities.
- Ensure that equipment is safe at all times.
- Participate in the development and follow-up of the preventative and predictive maintenance plan in collaboration of the supervisor.
- Participate in the planning of machine shutdowns with the Maintenance Leader.
- Participate in the back-up of production to ensure the running of the machine.
- Spend time on the machine in order to improve its running rate.
- Foster communication among team members and maintain or improve team spirit.
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Answer service calls.

**Education**
- Two diplomas of vocational studies (related to the field)

**Knowledge and Competencies**
- Good knowledge of industrial equipment
- Experience in a manufacturing plant
- Must have a driver's license

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Occasional variations according to the work schedule and production emergencies
- Must always wear safety glasses and boots.
- Dusty and dirty work environment
- Occasional exposure to bitumen, solvent, and vapours or fumes
- Must be available according to the schedule set to answer service calls for machines.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Work on machines and occasionally at height
- Possible work outside under varying climatic conditions
- Frequent load handling

**Salary**: $25.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
