**Payroll Administrator**

**Position Overview**
The Payroll Administrator is a key administrative position with general office duties that require analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, an aptitude for numbers, multi-tasking, and excellent communication skills.
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the entire process by which invoices and cheques are finalized, printed, and delivered to clients and payees; additional supportive functions, including but not limited to Union reporting, phone and mail management, cheque reissues, are also included.
**Core Responsibilities**
- Edit lists
- Daily Invoice printing and distribution
- Cheque printing/bundling/mailing
- Union pension and payment remittances
- Cheque cancellations and reissues
- COD Cheque status monitoring
**Key Qualifications**
- Basic office skills and abilities, - computers, phones, fax equipment, copiers, etc.
- Good interpersonal skills - interaction with clients, colleagues, and management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Quick learner.
- Organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Flexibility and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Senior role reflects mastery and experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Minimum typing/keyboarding of 30 words per minute.
**Special Work Conditions**
- Sedentary - Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
