The Human Resources Branch of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, in **Toronto, ON,** is seeking a Payroll Administrator to provide integrated services for the calculation and processing of payroll, benefits, pension, pension adjustment and attendance for an assigned client group, in accordance with statutory, systems, policies and administrative requirements.

**What You’ll Do**:
**You’ll act with integrity to**:

- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and independence in a non-partisan role
- Ensure adherence to legislation and established policies and practices
- Follow guidelines to safeguard and/or disclose information, as appropriate
- Act professionally at all times when clarifying information, resolving issues or providing advice

**You’ll support our collaboration as you**:

- Assume responsibility for the calculation of severance entitlements, the preparation of ROEs, and departmental audits

**How You Qualify**:
**You demonstrate excellence through your**:

- Experience in payroll administration, coupled with your superior mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and proficiency in an integrated HRIS environment
- Experience using an in-house payroll system is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of, and experience with, year-end processes and general ledger postings
- Solid experience working with policies, collective agreements and related legislation
- Proven ability to multitask and organize work to meet competing deadlines
- Sound knowledge of reference methods and resources
