**Job Summary**

We’re seeking self-starters who crave developing business relationships and improving communities throughout Manitoba. Reporting to the Commercial Account Manager, the Commercial Sales Technician will develop and grow relationships with businesses across Manitoba to encourage participation in (free & incentive-based programs) lighting and energy saving measures, enabled through provincial utility-based programs.

**Responsibilities**
- Engage with new and existing businesses to encourage participation in approved utility-based commercial energy efficiency programs
- Educate potential customers on the benefit of energy efficiency programs
- Develop, oversee, grow and manage customer accounts; providing support, information and guidance throughout the retrofit process
- Strong focus on collecting detailed information from the customer regarding energy efficiency product needs
- Maintain knowledge base on current products and seek to actively build knowledge base of new products; recommending products based on individual business needs
- Identify new business opportunities and increase sales through building and managing relationships with existing and potential clients
- Conduct basic audits on businesses that qualify for the Efficiency MB program, creating a detailed floor plan and finding sales opportunities

- One year of sales experience an asset
- Experience with technologies such as commercial lighting considered an asset
- A proven self-starter who is highly motivated and willing to build new relationships is an asset
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Excellent written and oral communication

**Compensation**

$30,000 / year CAD + monthly commission (typically averaging $1,500 / month)

Compensation will be a combination of base salary plus uncapped commission. Average total compensation is $48,000 annually.
