Administrative Assistant/ Assistant Brokerage

As an Administrative Assistant/Assistant Brokerage Dispatcher, you will be a vital team member responsible for providing efficient administrative support and assisting in brokerage dispatch operations.
With core skills in data entry, analysis, and communication, you will handle tasks such as managing freight information, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining effective communication with clients and team members.
Additionally, your relevant skills will contribute to the smooth operation of daily tasks.

Experience in the transportation industry a huge asset
Duties would include but are not limited to:
Assisting Dispatchers as required
This includes:
- Utilize industry-based software for customer/carrier orders
- Track, trace and update status of shipments
- Assistance as needed
This role is also responsible and/or cross-trained in a number of general administrative duties.
These include:
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts payable
- Carrier Compliance - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance requirements as they relate to transportation, federal and provincial transportation regulations, and compliance requirements.
Skills and Qualification:
- Motivated and Dependable
- Thoroughness, analyzing information and attention to detail is very important
- Computer savvy knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/ Word/ Outlook/ O365)
- Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challenges
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work with little supervision
- Enforces adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions
Relevant industry experience in logistics operations an asset but not required
- Previous brokerage dispatching experience
- Trucking industry
- Customer service and/or sales
- Axon Software
Must have reliable transportation and able to travel to the office
Must be a citizen of Canada
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
