We are looking for a leader in the Drop-In sector of Community Services.

**Description**:
The Drop-in Coordinator is responsible for implementation and oversight of drop-in services at both Weston King and Mount Dennis Neighbourhood Centres.

By setting goals for improvement and responding to the needs of participants, they will plan and deliver core drop-in services and programming that will educate, empower, support the community and populations served, while celebrating diversity, and addressing the needs of our neighbours.

Weston King Neighbourhood Centre places a high value on lived experience. Personal experience with poverty, unemployment, homelessness, disabilities and/or similar challenges are considered assets.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee delivery of core drop-in services at both WKNC and MDNC sites, including: daily meal services; weekly grocery distribution; laundry/shower appointments; harm reduction supplies; and basic needs distribution (clothing, hygiene items, etc.).
- Source, manage and record all non-food inventory and donations for both sites (e.g. PPE supplies, clothing, toiletries, etc.).
- Work with WKNC’s custodian to ensure necessary maintenance at both sites (e.g., ordering non-kitchen equipment, hiring repair companies and pest control as needed, etc.).
- Recruit, train and manage volunteers and placement students for the WKNC site
- Recruit, train and manage placement students working in the drop-in department
- Supervise Drop-in Assistant(s) and Custodian
- Engage with the participants, community members, service users, volunteers, and students to gain insight regarding the progress and outcomes of the drop-in services and programs
- Ensure opening and closing of the WKNC site.
- Ensure the program space is safe and inclusive for all program and service users, and are run in accordance with partner/funder agreements
- Lead the development and implementation of programming at the WKNC site, including: in-house social programming; social programming led by external partners; informational workshops and sessions; celebrations/events; and community-wide social programming.
- Advocate and support participants, students and volunteers to establish and develop personal or professional goals and action plans
- Complete weekly or monthly detailed progress reports on all sites active and proposed programs/services.
- Assist with the execution and completion of all the required evaluations, grants, reports (ICE Tool) and questionnaires
- Maintain and provide all the required paperwork to ensure the organization’s certifications are up to date and in good standings with all funders, partners, and stakeholders
- Advise, contribute, and execute policies and procedures pertaining to each sites programs and services
- Provide recommendations on improvements to the overall functions of the organization

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$43,000.00 per year
