**Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia** is currently searching for a **Program Coordinator** to join our team in Burnaby This is a contract position running until October 2023.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to our volunteer programs including the Branch Program and Career Awareness Program. The position provides volunteer and event support and ensures program volunteers are aligned with Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s current program initiatives.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
- Coordinates and provides day-to-day support to the organization’s regional branch program
- Develops working relationships with branch executive members and meets regularly to conduct meetings and provide guidance
- Maintains branch websites, handles preparation of online registration, registers additional guests or large groups, and generates event-related reports
- Works with the Career Awareness Program Coordinator to support the Career Awareness Program and outreach to students in K-12; assist with program grant requests, coordination of presentation requests and outreach events/presentations; assistance with sourcing volunteer presenters
- Reviews and evaluates branch annual reports and branch grant requests; collects quarterly activity reports, and prepares branch activity reports for Council
- Provides additional administrative and communications support as necessary, including to the Career Awareness Advisory Group, the Branch Representatives Committee, the annual conference, and the organization overall

**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE**:

- 1-3 years of relevant work experience related to volunteer management, event management, committee support, and client service is required.
- 1-3 years experience working with and coordinating the activity of volunteers and volunteer groups is an asset.
- 1-3 years experience working with students in grades K-12 (or related organizations) is an asset.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in a related field such as Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, etc. is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work in a professional and collaborative team environment.
- A sense of urgency and time management skills along with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
