On an on-going basis, the Programs Manager recruits volunteers and seeks to involve them in areas of interest. It’s important that you have strong interpersonal skills and to first and foremost lead with empathy.

This position reports to and works closely with Embark Sustainability’s Executive Director. As part of a small team, you will work closely and in collaboration with the Design & Communications Manager, Gardens Manager, and Community Development Manager.

**Team Management and Support**
- Manage and supervise part-time student staff
- Support student staff coordinators with planning, organization, and execution of events
- Support the professional development of student staff coordinators and volunteers in key skills, including but not limited to group facilitation

- Advise the Board of Directors as needed
- Build community relationships that support Embark Sustainability’s membership learning goals and curiosities and expand perspectives reflected in programs
