**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager of Data and Information Management (DIM), the role will provide leadership over Halton Region’s Data and Information Management Strategies. The role will lead the development and implementation of the strategies, working with key stakeholders throughout the Region. This role will support the Digital and Information Services department in delivering on its Digital Strategy objectives and work streams.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the development, project management, and implementation of the Data Strategy and Information Management Strategy.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to data, information management, and business intelligence.
- Responsible for implementing enterprise content management and overseeing all aspects of information management strategies.
- Responsible for determining and implementing appropriate governance around data and information, such as policies, standards, guidelines, and architectures, while ensuring the integrity, accuracy and availability of data and information.
- Responsible for the rollout and implementation of enterprise business intelligence tools, working with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
- Lead cultural change to support Regional staff in information management, data analytics, and related activities. Lead a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, stakeholder management, training, execution, evaluation and sustainment of activities.
- Support the Data Governance strategy and roadmap (i.e. Metadata, Data Quality, etc.), including execution of tactical activities where needed.
- Motivate and supervise day-to-day operations of the Information Management and Data team Participate in the development of key master data sources in digitization processes.
- Lead procurement of, design and implementation of a corporate data catalog to enhance the Region’s access to, availability of, and maintenance of data assets.
- Lead the data and analytics community of practice.
- Development and delivery of training courses and materials, upskill existing DIM team as required.
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings with staff, and various stakeholders.
- Leads, manages, or supports, as appropriate, data-related special project teams to support key divisional or corporate projects.
- Supervises staff, providing coaching and performance reviews. Supports the recruiting of staff and project consultants, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in data analytics or information management with a minimum of five (5) years progressive working experience in leadership, data visualization and innovative tools in a data and information management environment preferably within the public sector.
- Strong understanding of data management principles and practices, relational database fundamentals, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, leadership and interpersonal skills.
