**SUMMARY**:
The Empowering Newcomers for Entrepreneurship (ENfE) program offers a comprehensive approach to empower newcomers and racialized individuals in Ontario by providing the skills, resources, and network needed to explore and establish sustainable businesses in Canada. This initiative brings together key stakeholders—including business mentors, industry experts, and community partners—to co-design an end-to-end support system that enables clients to navigate the Canadian business landscape effectively. The project creates an entrepreneurial pathway for newcomers by providing practical training that helps potential entrepreneurs to develop realistic business plans and start sustainable Canadian businesses.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Guide clients in building a professional portfolio that highlights their entrepreneurial skills and readiness for business ownership.
- Mentor clients to help them understand and adapt to Canadian business culture, with an emphasis on professional conduct, communication, and networking.
- In collaboration with the program Facilitator, deliver individual coaching and counseling to help clients develop actionable business plans and manage cases effectively, including maintaining detailed notes and entries in a database.
- Support clients in assessing their qualifications and skills against their business goals, helping them align with Canadian market standards and expectations.
- Act as a liaison between participants and mentors or business partners to facilitate valuable connections that support participants' entrepreneurial journeys.
- Offer referrals and guided access to additional services, including settlement resources, small business support services, and industry-specific networking opportunities.
- Conduct follow-up activities to assess participant progress, offer ongoing support, and document their business development milestones.
- Collect and analyze program statistics and evaluation data, drafting monthly/quarterly reports for review by the Project Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, social services, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an entrepreneurship support or employment-related field, preferably working with newcomer and diverse populations.
- Ability to learn and work with new technology and database management systems, including familiarity with government and funding databases.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local market trends, business development resources, and community networks that support entrepreneurship.
- Proven ability to work with diverse groups, especially newcomer and racialized individuals, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges they face in launching businesses in Canada.
- Strong understanding of community resources, small business programs, and entrepreneurial support services available in the GTA.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), social media, and online platforms for virtual coaching and program delivery.
