Calgary, Canada Spinal Cord Injury Alberta Full time

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, the Fund Development Associate will strengthen and help to expand the SCI-AB giving program. With a strong focus on philanthropy, this is a forward-facing administrative role that will achieve specific fundraising goals as aligned with the SCI-AB strategic priorities. To be successful in this position, you must be comfortable and confident with phone, in-person and electronic interactions as well as engaging in appropriate solicitation and stewardship actions required for each level and type of financial giving.

**Fundraising and Events Planning** - This position will support the planning and implementation of events for SCI-AB and will also represent SCI-AB at networking and community events as appropriate. Tasks will be developed to ensure this position strategically implements and tracks successes of role-specific responsibilities according to the fund development strategic plan.

**Relationship Management **- With a philanthropic approach, all relationships with volunteers, donors and sponsors are built and maintained with a goal of creating an experience that expresses the value of relationships through excellence and professionalism. In addition, this position will collaborate with the Philanthropy Manager to enhance donor recognition and experience, participate with implementation of the legacy and major gifts plans, build on the monthly donor program and support coordination of volunteers for fund raising events.

**Administrative and Other Responsibilities** - Maintaining records, producing reports, and using effective methods to ensure effective implementation of the strategic philanthropic plan are critical to the success of this role. Specific tasks will include ensuring 100% of donors are thanked, ensure timely dispatch of acknowledgements, assist with creation of reports, developing and implementing media collateral, and ensuring management of effective use of own time and resources.
