**Position Summary**

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays an integral role in the HR team at CloudMD. The role will work closely with business leads in Canada and the US, to implement consistent HR procedures and processes, and drive strategic, forward-thinking HR practices. The HR Business Partner will be involved in a diverse range of HR disciplines including full-cycle recruitment, employee relations and engagement, total rewards, organizational design, and workforce planning.

**Who You'll Work With**

The HR Business Partner will partner with the Senior HR Business Partner and People and Culture Generalist, as well as working closely with diverse stakeholder groups across the organization, including payroll and benefits, finance, IT, etc. The position will be responsible for an assigned business portfolio including (but not limited to) US Operations and be the primary HR point of contact for the associated leaders.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Develops and maintains effective partnerships with designated business leaders, and serves as a strategic HR advisor, providing trusted advice to proactively support the execution of a positive employee experience, leadership development, and achievement of business objectives
- Drives the alignment of HR strategy and quarterly HR planning with business priorities to drive to results
- Guides and advises people leaders at different levels of the organization on how to solve work-related problems through coaching, development, and performance management
- Supports effective compensation and classification practices and processes for new hires or position changes
- Develops a deep understanding of the organizational growth strategy and associated talent needs, both short and long term, and brings forward strategic talent and HR solutions to support business plans
- Leads the payroll and benefits team, offering strategic advice and support for this function
- Participates in the development of HR policies and procedures that meet the appropriate legislation requirements and organizational standards
- Contributes to the assessment of existing programs and processes by collecting tracking and summarizing critical HR metrics, including analyzing trends and providing recommendations for changes to programs and initiatives
- Provides HR input and expertise to various HR projects and business-led strategic initiatives
- Acts as a trusted advisor on US employment law, US payroll and benefits
- Understands training requirements based on country, such a HIPAA regulations
- In collaboration with business leaders, role model and work to foster a culture of belonging

**What You Need to Be Successful**
- Minimum 5 years of HR Business Partner experience
- Strong working knowledge of Labour law, Employment law, Human Rights legislation and the Occupational Health & Safety Act,** including** **US employee relations / labour relations**:

- Strong working knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations, practices and, processes, **including US payroll and benefits**:

- Consultative style and ability to effectively influence, coach and consult with key stakeholders, peers and team members

**What You Need to Stand Out**
- CHRP/CHRL/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP designation is an asset
- Advanced relationship-building skills with the ability to develop critical partnerships with business leaders and employees, and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary context
- Demonstrated agility and the ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including preparing and delivery of presentations to all employee levels
- Ability to clearly define and articulate requirements, priorities, impacts, and solutions
- A high degree of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confiden
