Right now we’re looking for a **Clerical Coordinator** to work in our **Outpatient Rehabilitation and Hand Clinic**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversees all referrals to the Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic in collaboration with relevant clinical/clerical staff.
- Facilitates efficient and accurate tracking and flow of referrals within the program.
- Responsible for ensuring the operation of the front line reception desk, including answering the telephone, providing customer service to clients and referral sources; and the management of patients’ scheduling.
- Oversees the daily operations of the clerical area and assigns job functions to clerical staff.
- Prepares and posts staff schedules in collaboration with manager; in adherence with collective agreement(s).
- Assists with coordinating functions for the orientation/training of new staff.
- Facilitates/problem solves balancing of workload, brings unresolved issues to the attention of the manager.
- Oversees and performs, where necessary, all administrative duties including the timely preparation of Bundled Funding charts.
- Assists directly, when needed in program clerical duties
- Responsible for coverage, as required for planned or unplanned staff absence.
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Completion of a Community College Diploma business program preferred.
- Minimum 3 years recent experience in a busy clinical environment
- Experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is an asset.
- Medical terminology courses preferred.
- Good Keyboarding skills with minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (ability to do medical transcription preferred).
- Demonstrated Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and excellent knowledge of Meditech functions
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written with professionals of various disciplines as well as with patients and families. Proven ability to provide excellent customer service, on the telephone and in person.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage interpersonal conflict among team members.
- Excellent organizational and problem solving/analytical skills and the ability to re-establish priorities.
- Detail oriented and ability to multitask.
- Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with patients, physicians and the public, including effectively responding to concerns that arise.
- Positive attendance record required.

Applicants may be required to successfully complete full administrative testing, including typing speed, MS Office and Medical Terminology.

**Hourly rate**:$30.778- $31.802
