**Job Summary**

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Coordinator provides guidance and human resources support to CCI Management, colleagues, and staff. This position carries out, monitors and responds to all matters related to human resources.

This position reports to: Human Resources Director

Employment status: Full-time, Term till March 31, 2025 with a possibility of an extension

Hourly rate: Range from $32.19 - $34.13.

Location: 219 Argyle Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

**Responsibilities**
- Provides HR support to the Human Resources Director and the Payroll Coordinator
- Onboards and explains human resources policies, procedures, and standards to new and existing employees
- Maintaining a human resources information system (HRIS) by tracking and reporting on employee data such as sick days, vacation days, banked overtime and hours worked, to ensure accurate, timely information can be made available to management and staff.
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars
- Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
- Explains benefits and refers employees to related services, contacts, and resources
- Prepares or updates employment records related to hiring, benefits administration and HRIS systems
- Supports full cycle recruitment and outreach efforts including developing job postings, screening applicants, participating in interviews, and preparing job offers.
- Oversees performance management program.
- Carries out exit surveys/interviews upon employee departure and provides analysis of trends to senior management.
- Develops with guidance from the HR Director internal communications strategies related to human resource matters
- Oversees the Learning Management Program and recommends, develops, and schedules training for employees
- Develops, administers, and monitors health and safety programs
- Recommends HR policy and procedural improvements
- Liaises with accounting as required
- Support other functions as assigned

**Qualifications**
- College Diploma in Human Resources Management or in a related field
- Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position.
- Knowledge of HRIS software and familiarity with BambooHR is a strong asset.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and sensitive situations
- Able to deal with people in a tactful, diplomatic, and professional manner.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; other languages would be considered an asset
- Must pass criminal record check
- Skilled in time management and organization techniques
- Skilled communicator, both verbal and in writing
