**Job Title**: Multifunction technicians, Bell Media

**Work Conditions**: 40 hours/week

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Gather newscasts for broadcasting
- Set up news reports, keeping a close eye on production quality
- Direct news reports for TV and digital
- Cover events for TV and digital, conduct interviews, write texts as needed
- Shoot images, set up / edit / light and produce news reports for both TV and digital, with the help of a journalist or on their own
- Configure and use live equipment as needed
- Follow editorial standards and guidelines regarding accuracy, ethics and legal issues
- Ensure equipment and mobile are in good working order
- Other assigned tasks

**Critical Qualifications**:

- Technical training; bachelor’s degree in journalism, film, communications or any other training related to the position
- Minimum of three years of experience in TV / Web
- Proven experience in news reporting
- Have a good knowledge of digital formats - particularly video - be familiar with narrative styles such as gonzo journalism and new journalism
- Proven filming and editing abilities
- Proven organizational skills, and ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines
- Good editorial judgment; demonstrated ability to produce original and enterprising news reports
- Ability to manage new and emerging technologies
- Knowledge of iNews an asset
- Valid driver’s licence and good record
- Fluent French, good command of English: Professional relationships with English speaking customers or customers outside Quebec
