Service Writer/ Coordinator

**SUMMARY**:
The Service Writer/Coordinator is responsible for managing the scheduling of repairs and the procurement of parts for mobile equipment within the Concrete division of Klaassen Equipment. This critical role ensures that repair schedules are optimized, parts and supplies are efficiently procured, and costs are controlled to support the smooth operation of the mobile/C.T. segment. The Service Writer/Coordinator will work closely with various teams to ensure all activities align with the company’s core values of hard work, integrity, and resourcefulness.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Service Writer/Coordinator must collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and other relevant teams to ensure alignment and efficiency in task execution. This role also involves supporting team members involved in purchasing, scheduling, and inventory management. **These tasks are strictly an outline of essential duties & responsibilities; any other duties may also be assigned when required.**
**1. Purchasing and Procurement**:
- Oversee the procurement of parts, supplies, and equipment necessary for the maintenance and operation of all mobile equipment.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure the best quality and pricing.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- Track and control inventory levels of parts and supplies.
- Monitor and control maintenance and repair costs to ensure they remain within budget.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings.
**2. Scheduling**:
- Develop and manage repair and maintenance schedules for all mobile equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal team and external service providers to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed.

- Knowledge of heavy duty equipment, truck, and trailer parts ordering
- B2W experience an asset
**REQUIRED CERTIFICATES / QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Grade 12 diploma
- Valid class 5 driver’s license, no restrictions
- Class 1 or 3 with air breaks an asset
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 55lbs
- Able to climb ladders
- Able to work overtime, as required
Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
