**Position Overview**

The Case Coordinator will work closely with the Violence to Resilience programs, focused on supporting victims and survivors of sexual exploitation and human trafficking. The Case Coordinator will include engaging in best practices in working with trafficked/exploited youth within Safer Spaces; including assessments, plans and evaluations for case management and solution focused therapeutic interventions for mental health and addictions support, to provide a continuum of care for victims of trafficking/exploitation. The work will be supported by YWCA’s existing Violence to Resilience team.

**Essential Duties of Position**:

- Knowledge of the fundamentals of human behaviour including systems theory, family dynamics, group dynamics, and theories of behaviour change to assist in:

- Case management
- Individualized and group programming
- Therapeutic interventions
- Awareness of local community resources and agencies to assist in the continual care model and wrap around supports for participants
- Housing Operations and Coordination
- Help to develop and manage relationships with participants and staff
- Support housing operations and facilities support
- Work with YWCA staff to coordinate support for participants

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- The Case Coordinator will hold an undergraduate degree in a related field such as, social work, psychology, sociology, child and youth studies, education, health promotion.
- They will have a minimum of two years’ experience in case management and service delivery.
- The Case Coordinator will have an understanding of feminist theoretical perspectives and intersectionality.
- Also, of issues such as racism/colonialism, violence against women, sexualized human trafficking, sexual health, and poverty.
- They will have knowledge of, and experience with community-based, trauma-informed, harm reduction practices as well as a strong commitment to ongoing learning and development in these areas and experience working in collaborative environments on complex issues involving multiple and diverse stakeholders.
