Compass is seeking an Operations Administrator. Reporting to the HSE Manager, the Operations Administrator will be responsible for the ongoing administration and support of departmental matters for both our HR and HSE departments, and weekly reception coverage.

**What You Will Do**
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assist with maintenance of HSE management system record keeping
- Assist with scheduling of HSE meetings and training
- Assist with administration of company HSE registry and compliance accounts (ISN, Complyworks, Avetta, Veriforce, TPS Alert, NCMS)
- Assist with the new hire onboarding process (Send out offer letters, Assemble new hire packages, Set up and conduct Day 1 new employee orientation, Review new hire paperwork)
- Update and maintain job descriptions
- Maintain accurate HR employee files and the electronic files in the HR Drive
- Respond to general employee enquiries and escalate when appropriate
- Assist with development of department documentation and initiatives
- Support departments with research and information collection
- Maintain HR & HSE information boards at both our Frontier and Plant 1 locations
- Weekly reception coverage

**What You Bring**
Your education and experience include:

- Experience in an office environment, or within HR or HSE environments, is an asset but not required
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills
- Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as a contributing member of a team environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day
- Fluent ability to speak, read, and write in English

**Physical Demands**
- Requires employee to stand for at least 25% of the time
- Requires employee to sit for at least 75% of the time
- Requires employee to occasionally climb stairs or ladders and must be capable of maintaining balance on stairs or ladders without assistance
- Must be able to communicate with, and respond to others, in person and on the telephone
- Must be able to occasionally lift at least 10 pounds
- Requires work in both indoor and outdoor conditions
- Requires exposure to loud working environments
- Requires moving and maintaining self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments
- Must wear required PPE, including fire retardant clothing, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, as applicable
