**Role**:
The Ministry of Advanced Education has an exciting opportunity and is looking for a **Community Adult Learning Program Coordinator** to join our team

Reporting to the Manager, Program Policy and Stakeholder Relations, the Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) Coordinator supports the operation of CALP and other branch initiatives. The Coordinator will participate fully in discussions regarding current issues, strategies and implementation plans, and will work strategically to ensure alignment between the Community Adult Learning Program and the broader adult foundational learning continuum.

The Coordinator will lead and support initiatives with a provincial system focus, including: the development and implementation of policy and projects that support stakeholders to more effectively engage with Adult learners; grant review processes and templates; funding allocation modeling; and strategies to improve the CALP professional development system.

**In your role as a CALP Coordinator, you will be responsible to**:
**1. Effectively coordinates and manages CALP operational processes in accordance with ministry and GOA policies and processes.**

**2. Supports the development and maintenance of strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders within a designated region to facilitate the coordination of the community adult learning system, and ensure its integration within the broader**

- Maintains strong working relationships with funded community organizations and stakeholders to better understand the system context and support change management as needed.
- Demonstrates leadership and works to facilitate and build an understanding among the community adult learning system of the ministry's strategic direction, mandates and priorities.
- Supports the coordination and administration of the CALP Professional Development Advisory Committee.

**Role Cont.**:
**3. Leads the development and implementation of policies and projects that support CALP system stakeholders to more effectively engage with, and address the foundational learning needs of adult Albertans.**
- Works closely within the branch to ensure alignment of policy between the Community Adult Learning Program Guidelines and Advanced Education's Indigenous learner policy.
- Supports Manager to oversee key CALP-funded professional development projects that support CALP system stakeholders to more effectively engage with adult Albertans.
- Promotes cross-cultural understanding and facilitates communication and collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples within the CALP system in support of the Alberta Government's commitment to the recommendations of the Truth
and Reconciliation Commission of Canada and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

**4. Strengthens and promotes the community adult learning system as a key part of Alberta's advanced learning system, in alignment with ministry policy frameworks.**
- Supports the Manager to ensure that foundational learning is represented and reflected in department policy direction discussions, including outcomes, data collection processes, accountability requirements and others.

University graduation in a related field (Education, Public Administration, etc.) plus 2 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
