What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining the Digital Investing and Advice CIBC Capital Markets Technology team. You’ll be responsible for maintain and overseeing low level environment management and deployment activities for product based projects and initiatives in compliance with established controls and standards. The role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas, vendors building business relationships, mentoring other environment employees/contractors and performing tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth. The Consultant, IT Quality Infrastructure Lead troubleshoots issues for all levels, identifying project environment collisions, end to end set up and deployment methods for incorporation into the testing plan/strategy, and execution to assign test work packages, and lead testing teams. The role exercises independent judgement and decision making within ownership of projects and milestones, analyzing and resolving unusual testing challenges to facilitate decision making with client and senior management. The role devises new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking.

How you'll succeed

Environment Management Expertise - Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test package deployments. Design and manage end-to-end testing environment activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.

Leadership skills - Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.

Project coordination - Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget and goals.
