**What You Will Do**:

- Evaluate and set program schedule management requirements in support of all capital project delivery at IO which would provide functional expertise and a primary interface for schedule management matters within the Project Controls Department.
- Providing functional leadership to a team that liaises between the applicable project team and the project controls and program management functions.
- Partner with Director of Capital Project Schedule Management into centralizing guidance and function of retaining and engaging third party Schedule Management Consultants in support, and throughout the lifecycle of, applicable capital projects.
- Be a departmental influencer and contributor to development of staff peers within the Project Delivery division, rooted in IO’s value proposition, leadership development framework, and employee value proposition.
- Planning, developing and maintaining the integrated Master schedule to meet the project objectives, schedule basis, managing the progress measurement and earned value, schedule reporting, schedule change implementation and developing and maintain the schedule management plan.
- Provide specialized scheduling services, such as evaluation of alternative construction scenarios, recovery schedule, time impact and delay claim analysis.
- Provide review, analyze, and evaluation of construction claims, their validity and assess schedule impacts due to changes/claims.
- Implement and maintain a historial database.
- Faciliate interactive planning sessions.
- Facilitate and review time impact on capital projects.
- Analyze consultant, supplie,and contractor schedule and provide recommendations.
- Monitor schedule compliance and report to the project team regarding deviation from approved project schedule developed.

**Who We're Looking For**:

- Strong business acumen, creative problem solving and detailed knowledge of project controls practices and theory with demonstrable experience of integrating / analyzing project scheduling outputs for project management / delivery teams.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment consistne with corporate and business goals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and other relevant Scheduling software platforms/tools.
- Ability to receive and analyze information from numerous sources; sound judgement; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound understanding of basic engineering and construction methodologies; ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrated experience in Claims management.
- Possess a service orientation to ensure a high-quality service by providing proactice, timely, and accurate reporting of project performance to stakeholders.
- Strong time managmeent with ability to prioritize and balance completing demands in a deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with a wide range of informatin technology platforms and related technologies.
- Exceptional influencing and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to maintain effective collaborative work relationships with stakeholders.
- Effective presentation, facilitation, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Experience with P3 programs with solid understanding of the various specific P3 delivery model.
- PMI, AACE, RICS, P.Eng are all assets.
- University degree in Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Commerce, or other relevant disciplines
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive hands-on experience delivering project scheduling services for capital projects.

To succeed in this role, you must have sound stakeholder management skills and experience finding creative solutions to complex issues with clients and diverse teams of project consultants and specialists, while operating in matrix structure. Advanced presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing, and consensus building skills are also required. Experience negotiating claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items on projects is desirable.
