The role is responsible for managing the implementation of the Ontario Line Rolling Stock, System, Operations and Maintenance (“RSSOM”) contract through a Public-Private Partnerships (P3) delivery model as a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (“DBFOM”) contract.

To be successful in this role, the incumbent will have **strong commercial acumen supported by contract administration experience associated with contractual interpretation and commercial negotiations**.

Experience negotiating claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual matters on major Projects is required. Sound stakeholder management skills and experience finding positive solutions to complex issues with clients and diverse teams of project consultants and specialists are also required.

**What You Will Do**:

- Manage the implementation of one of the largest subway infrastructure programs in North America and oversee multiple aspects of the project delivered through a Public-Private-Partnerships (P3) delivery model contract form.
- Identify and assess commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies through establishment of contractual regimes and commercial processes and procedures to achieve best for project outcomes.
- Provide commercial oversight in contract management and in preparation of narratives and entitlement documentation and resolution of claims and/or disputes.
- Assist the project and delivery teams in development, understanding and interpretation of the contract language.
- Manage commercial aspects on behalf of Infrastructure Ontario within a matrix project organization that align the interests of private sector partners with Government objectives.
- Lead presentations to demonstrate new concepts or seek approvals, including briefings for senior management and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead point in coordinating with various internal and external team members to establish agendas, processes and procedures to advance business objectives and project outcomes.

**What We Are Looking For**:

- Several years of industry experience with direct hands-on exposure to managing complex projects within a **commercial or contract administration role**.
- Experience or education in an appropriate field e.g. Engineering, Architecture, Planning or other relevant discipline.
- PMP certification or in the process of acquiring.
- Experience in negotiations of complex contractual disputes.
- Experience with analyzing claims and preparing settlement strategy documents for senior leadership.
- Thorough knowledge of contract structuring and legal requirements of contracts.
- Prior experience of contract assembly and/or administration of various procurement models and contract forms is preferred.
- Experience leading and managing large teams to support project health and manage ongoing project discussions with stakeholders.
- Advanced presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills are required.
- Able to effectively engage with senior management and team members across the organization with an ability to manage leaders.
- Ability to anticipate and recognize project trends to identify early warnings and influence commercial outcomes, leading their resolution.
- Advanced technical skills in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong ability to be innovative and collaborate successfully in a team environment.
- Solid organizational, communication and project management skills to manage multiple initiatives through to completion.
