**Position Title**:Communications Coordinator with CRUX Psychology**

**Location**: CRUX Psychology, 5547 Clyde Street, Halifax, NS, B3J 3T5

**Specific Duties**:
Primary responsibilities
- Draft a social media communications plan to assist in the development of a dominant social media presence (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube) for a team of 10 psychologists and 4 staff
- Draft press releases for television, radio, and newspapers
- Liaison with journalists
- Learn about the science, business, and practice of psychology
- Advocate for some of Nova Scotia’s most vulnerable citizens (e.g., people with severe and persistent mental illness)
- Join and improve an already nimble and thriving team of psychologists and staff as they push to become Atlantic Canada’s best known and most skilled provider of psychological services

Secondary responsibilities
- Provide knowledge translation and science outreach, making psychological science accessible to the public
- Update CRUX Psychology website
- Coordinate a nationwide series of talks on suicide prevention
- Support a snail mail campaign to introduce new psychologists to physicians and other such specialists
- Grow and maintain an already active LinkedIn account

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in in a clinic, office, business, or university environment considered an asset
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign considered an asset
- Trustworthy and discreet in reference to confidential information
- Works well under pressure and with tight timelines
- Ability to work collaboratively with others

**Salary Details**: $18.25 per hour, minimum 20 hours per week
