At Pacific Smoke International, our mission is to help people quit smoking by providing safer alternatives to traditional cigarettes. As the leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and award-winning vaping products in Canada, we've made significant progress since our founding in 2013. However, we have much more to accomplish for our customers, and we're looking for a culturally aligned Demand Planner to join our dynamic team located in Markham.

The **Demand Planner** position uses analytical, sales data, and market intelligence to forecast future demand for Pacific Smoke International’s (PSI) key brands. It is the Demand Planner’s responsibility to attain alignment with sales, marketing, operations, and finance through monthly demand reviews.

**The Demand Planner will**:

- Integrate available business intelligence collected from sales, marketing, operations, and finance to generate 6-12-month demand forecasts
- Monitor sales trends and work with sales and brand teams to identify changing market trends
- Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
- Interact with sales, marketing, inventory, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers and incorporate and document assumptions into models

- Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
- Maintain SOP documentation related to demand planning

**Further**:

- Create monthly forecasts
- Gather, analyze, and validate data in forecast models
- Present, solicit and assess feedback on the various forecasts from sales, finance, marketing, supply chain
- Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts
- Review promotional plans with sales and marketing
- Support Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP):

- Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion
- Align with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance on a consensus forecast for operational execution
- Execute monthly demand reviews and align with Key Stakeholders
- Monitor and communicate forecast attainment and other key business insights
- Maintain demand planning system and software:

- Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of product hierarchy
- Monitor trends in forecast error
- Identify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the demand planning process
- Work with Senior Business Analyst to enhance the model to adapt to changing business environments

**Key Results**:

- A customer demand forecast which incorporates current and accurate market information that allows the company to correctly predict customer demand and provide its supply chain with the appropriate information to plan how to meet that customer demand.
- Improved relationships among planners, sales, marketing, and finance, which will lead to effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast to better guide the company.
- Refined systems and methods to continually improve forecasts so that the company can better anticipate customer needs.
- Execute with excellence in the area of customer replenishment and feedback to the Supply Chain group the opportunities and risks regarding customer replenishment performance metrics.

**Financial**
- Deliver against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success based on forecast accuracy targets

**Promotional Forecasting**
- Responsible for understanding the demand for respective categories
- Determines accurate promotional forecasting for all activities which includes allocation tables (i.e., promo, customer-reply) for respective categories
- Manage accurate demand forecasts that incorporate current and relevant market information to predict customer demand and provide a buying team with the right information to plan to meet that demand
- Develop reports to determine priorities and areas of opportunity and confirm/communicates results; creates ad hoc reports as necessary
