**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Guest Service Agent/Night Stewart position plays an important role for guests and the whole team.
The night steward’s job is a vital one to the successful operation of the Crown Isle Resort Hotel and Golf Community. This position is directly responsible for the upkeep of the clubhouse on a nightly basis with the highest priority given to late night check in guests, the security and cleanliness of club and grounds. The club relies on stewards to keep the clubhouse and surrounding area in safe for guests and staff after hours. The position includes confirming guests have left the building after events, parking lots are cleared and follow up with guests who may have noise complaints or basic housekeeping requests. Checking gates and outbuildings are secured as well. The night steward should take the initiative and pride in their workplace to ensure that the high standards of service are continually met.
The Guest Service Agent/Night Stewart must always present themselves in a well-groomed and polite manner. Always treat our members and team members with the utmost respect and attention. Always pay attention to detail. We are looking for someone who will take pride in the extra little things assist the resort to run smoothly, safely and bring happiness to guests and staff.
Many times, you may be the first person a guest interacts with at Crown Isle Resort. You must portray an upbeat, friendly, and calm demeanor, even at night, while assisting guests checking in. You must be able to assist with inquiries, problems, and complaints and take responsibility in a positive and proactive manner. As a guest agent/steward, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of The Crown Isle Clubhouse and providing customers with quality service in a timely and friendly manner.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Showing up for work in weather appropriate shoes and gear rested and ready for work.
- This is a uniformed position so during work hours a uniform is required.
- Greeting and thanking all guests in a sincere and friendly manner
- Checking guests in on arrival and out on departure via computer program.
- Posting charges to appropriate guest accounts ( previous knowledge of Maestro PMS an asset), creating room keys, running credit card transactions.
- Should be digitally competent in Microsoft Word and iPhone.
- Anticipating and addressing guests’ needs and resolving their problems and complaints
- Answering phones for in-house guest questions and requests
- Manage all resort keys signing in and out / confirming they are all accounted for at end of day
- Gym care and upkeep
- Receiving restaurant take-out orders over the phone and processing payment
- Deploy emergency procedures as required and be comfortable taking charge in any sort of emergency and follow protocols
- Call RCMP if required and follow security protocals / watch security cameras
- Performing steward-assigned duties, this can include stock taking, snow shoveling & salting, vacuuming, using the floor polisher or carpet cleaner
- Vacuuming, dusting, glass cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of the public space.
- Willing to watch for items that need care and repair with a “You can count on me” attitude
- Delivery of housekeeping items to guests and in an emergency, change sheets for a guest in an emergency
- Distribute clean towels and toiletries
- Handle and report lost and found items
- Check flowers in clubhouse are in good shape and watered
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Be part of the success of catering and Christmas events as needed
- Driving the golf cart to deliver food or guests requests as needed at the resort
- Keep the work area stocked, always organized, and clean as defined by the task list and cleaning schedules posted in the department.
- Other tasks as requested, or emergency situations require within our Standard Operating Procedures.
- Be willing, if needed cover shifts on call and swap shifts sometimes with other team members.
**EDUCATION**:
- Must have a High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) tests, and one to three months of related experience.
- Drivers license required

- Be comfortable on a ladder or lift

- Be able to stand for upto 40 minutes at a time
