Ottawa, Canada Ottawa Festivals Full time

**Contract Length**: 26 Weeks. **Start Date**: ASAP **End Date**: Initial term approved to the Province of Ontario’s current fiscal year end, March 31, 2024. Additional weeks, ending July 15, 2024 is pending the approval of Ottawa Festivals’ fiscal year (2024-2025) JCP program agreement with the Province of Ontario.

**Location**: Hybrid: Own home and Westboro

**Job Summary**: Provide assistance to the Box Office Manager pertaining to ticket and membership sales, information calls, mail-outs, and on-site box-office duties.

**Responsibilities**:

- Answer the phones to provide assistance, information and sell tickets.
- Process purchases and print, mail or set aside for pick up.
- Update and maintain the database.
- Complete all tasks necessary to operate the on-site and in-office box office.
- Must be a team player.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Should have training or previous experience in administration and customer service.
- Must possess strong written and verbal skills in English and French.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
- Must be computer literate.

**ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:
Eligible to participate in Ontario’s Job Creation Partnership (JCP) employment program by meeting the following criteria:
1. An unemployed job seeker or those employed less than 20 hours per week (current students with a full-time status are not eligible to be considered, part-time students may apply)

2. A resident, living in Ontario

3. Legally authorized to work in Canada

4. Have one, or both, of the following criteria:
a. Previously established an Employment Insurance (EI) benefit claim (regular benefits within the last three years or maternity/parental within the last five years), and/or

b. Contributed to EI premiums through payroll deductions for any five years out of the last ten years, while also earning a gross income exceeding $2000 in each calendar year.

**Remuneration**:
$662 (gross) per week provided by the Province of Ontario ($20.6875 based on 32 hours per week).

**Salary**: $20.69 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
