**Position title**:Accounts Receivable Specialist (intermediate level of French required)

The Financial Transaction Support group executes transactional processes for the corporation’s pulp and paper mill sector, in the areas of sales accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Cash Application, your role will be to provide support to the agents and accountants within the Invoicing, Cash Application and Deductions groups, by performing tasks assigned and normally executed by the agents and accountants in these respective groups.

The support could be provided to replace employees on vacation, on sick leave or that have been assigned to other positions or to assist on special projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform the regular functions required of the person being replaced within the Invoicing group, the Cash Application group and the Deductions group, such as:

- Assist Customer Service and customers as needed for account information and invoice copies;
- Review and research assigned customer accounts for deductions, overpayments and credit memos. Update deductions tracking log;
- Monitor customer deductions tracking log for customer service responses. Issue credit/debit memos to clear deductions, as needed;
- Meet deadlines for month-end closing including system month-end reports and bank reconciliation. There is no collection in this position.

- You are flexible, adaptable and can effectively support various areas of the Accounts Receivable group.

**Professional Experience/Qualifications**
- Accounting diploma or certificate is preferred, or some combination of accounting training and / or relevant experience.
- Experience in a large organization (an asset);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with at least intermediate level skills in Excel;
- Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset;
- Strong communication skills in English* (written and spoken) and **functional ability in French.**

*This is required since as part of this function, you will have to intervene with customers, partners and/or our American subsidiaries on a recurring basis, both orally and in writing.
