- Working within the Boarding Life program, you will contribute to the dynamic nature of school boarding, academic and co-curricular programs. As a collaborative and engaging educator, you will:
- Reside on-campus while providing pastoral care, programming and supervision to boarding students during the day, some evenings and weekends
- Establish good personal contact with boarding students by being visible and approachable.
- Interact with boarders, be available to answer questions, advise students on personal and academic matters, mediate disputes, maintain community standards and deal with issues as they arise
- Work to establish open communication lines and a positive culture in the house under the direction of the House Director and in collaboration with the House Director and Assistant House Director
- Take on several supervisory duties over a typical week: two to three evening duties (i.e study duty in house, campus study supervision, recreational facility duty), two to three late night duties, two to three academic day house supervision duties
- Maintain an academic course load of 2 full credit courses
- Meet with House Faculty team regularly as deemed necessary by the House Director to discuss house issues
- Meet with the Director of Boarding Life regularly to discuss Boarding Life issues and the Boarding Life curriculum
- Work and collaborate with the house Day Student Coordinator to connect day students with the boarding program and supervise day students in the house locker area regularly
- Develop, organize, implement, and supervise weekend program activities for long distance boarders under the direction of the Director, Boarding Life and in collaboration with the Assistant House Director, Campus Life as well as student leaders
- Develop and supervise programming for long weekends and school term breaks for students who are not able to return home in conjunction with the Director, Boarding Life and in collaboration with the Assistant House Director, Campus Life. This will require supervision to students for long weekends (Oct, Nov, Feb and April, May) on a rotational basis
- Transport and accompany students to regular medical appointments when necessary
- Assist with student emergencies, such as, accompanying students to the Health Centre, or hospital emergency room when necessary
- Supervise the return of boarders on Mondays of long weekends or after holiday breaks, from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. on a rotational basis
- Work with the House Fac. Team to track student attendance in REACH

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team along with other school faculty and health care providers
- Appreciation of cultural, socio-economic, racial, religious, sexual-orientation, and gender diversity, and commitment to ongoing professional development in supporting a wide diversity of students in a boarding environment
- Post-secondary education at the university level is an asset
- Previous teaching experience an asset; OCT or equivalent teaching qualification and asset
- Technical aptitude
