**JOB OVERVIEW**
- The Volunteer Experience team is responsible for recruiting and maintaining effective volunteer support for CCS throughout an annual cycle of campaigns and activities. The team establishes and implements standards of practice, tools, resources, and support for volunteers and staff partners throughout the volunteer cycle.

Reporting to the Director, Volunteer Experience Manager, Mission is a nationwide position that supports volunteer recruitment for CCS Mission activities in English and French Canada. This role provides leadership to volunteer recruitment and VE team support for a broad range of CCS Mission activities that include but are not limited to the Wheels of Hope program, Lodges, Camps, the Better Women program, and Peer Support. This position is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies specific to the CCS Research and Information and Support Services portfolios that support community engagement and increase volunteer commitment to CCS. This position liaisons with the VE Business Partner, Mission Activities for all Advocacy volunteer activities.

The Manager, Mission works closely with other members of the VE team, as well as staff partners from other teams to ensure the engagement of volunteers in addition to leveraging for the support of cultural, inclusive, and specific geographic communities. This role is a people leader position with four direct reports who support the VE team as recruitment coordinators.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:
**Volunteer Recruitment Management**
- Leads the development and implementation of volunteer recruitment strategies for CCS Mission activities nationwide to ensure organizational recruitment needs are met in collaboration with all members of the VE team.
- Leads the VE Wheels of Hope and Mission Recruitment Coordinators to support CCS staff partners and volunteers in English and French Canada
- Works closely with the VE Business Partners (VEBPs) who support CCS Mission activities to develop integrated recruitment plans that focus on the engagement of volunteer in communities designated by CCS.
- Helps establish recruitment KPIs and engage in ongoing monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
- Works closely with the VEBP, Communications and Marketing to ensure an integrated and coordinated approach to marketing, recruitment, and engagement tactics for CCS Mission activities in both English and French.
- Works closely with VE Operations Business Partner to assist in developing processes, tools and resources that support Mission volunteer recruitment in ensuring efficiencies and best practices.
- Creates a shared sense of the importance of volunteer engagement for achieving organizational objectives by recognizing and celebrating successes in Mission volunteer recruitment.

**Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management**
- Works collaboratively with key stakeholders at all levels within CCS to align Mission activities recruitment strategies and plans, support recruitment and retention goals, and champion relationship management practices.
- Develops strong, supportive relationships with CCS teams who work directly with mission volunteers in collaboration with the VEBPs and VE Coordinators.
- Drives strong relationship management principles within the Volunteer Engagement team and other CCS teams.
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with external parties and stakeholders who support volunteer recruitment and involvement at CCS.
- Keeps current and up-to date on volunteer knowledge and contributes to strategies and plans for recruitment in Mission business areas

**Volunteer Experience Team Management**
- Provides strategic direction, supervision, and solution focused leadership to a high performing team of recruitment coordinators who support CCS Mission activities to successfully reach and maintain recruitment goals.
