As a leader within the In Field Excellence team, the Organizational Excellence Manager is responsible for the operations supporting contract and expense management in the Canadian affiliate. This primarily includes leading a team that provides first-line support to the In-Field Canadian sales and medical organizations, as well as other cross-functional users, with contract management, event expense management and ensuring compliance to internal policies in these specific areas. In addition, they are responsible for ensuring the Icertis system and interfaces are optimized to be fit for purpose, and consulting regularly with Finance, Compliance and Legal teams. The incumbent will be based in Montreal and will report to the Lead, In Field Team Excellence within the Customer Excellence division.

**Key responsibilities**
- People & process_
- Provide support, leadership, and coaching to two direct reports (two supervisors) as well as an extended team of nine indirect Reports and other contingent workers.
- Foster team engagement and environment reflective of the AbbVie culture.
- Drive optimal standards as internal service providers; set and achieve performance key performance indicators (KPI).
- Promote and facilitate continuous improvement of the contract management processes to improve efficiency, reduce the administrative burden while minimizing incidents of non-compliance.
- Accountable for ongoing development, management, and optimization of standard operating procedures (SOP) owned by the Organizational Excellence team in the Canadian Affiliate.
- Cross-functional responsibility to ensure effective communication and collaboration with the In-Field teams to drive clarity of processes and tools as well as seek feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure strong head office cross-functional relationships and collaboration with Compliance, Legal, Finance and other internal stakeholders for clear understanding and implementation of relevant policies and processes
- System and vendor management_
- Collaborate with internal partners such as AbbVie Institute, Finance, Compliance and Legal teams to ensure the contract management tool continues to support compliance policies and legal requirements, including all legal contract templates are maintained, configured and uploaded in the appropriate systems.
- In collaboration with internal Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team and as a business system owner:

- Accountable for compliance with all system life cycle (SLC) processes and quality assurance (QA) policies are properly followed and documented.
- Proactively manage all system changes (large and small scale) by overseeing requirements definition, reviewing implementation, and accepting changes through user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Accountable for vendor management of Icertis system providers including:

- Develop and manage partnership with third-party solutions provider to augment and address technology driven challenges.
- Ensuring optimal support from Icertis; incidents are resolved in a timely manner; hold vendor accountable to service level agreements (SLA).
- Consult with vendors for clear project management and communication on system upgrades/changes.
- Accountable for strong governance of third-party vendors.
- Partner with global partners to ensure alignment with best practices and system interfaces/adoption (such as integration of the master approval process system).
- Data and analytics_
- Ensure operational analytics is developed and leveraged in optimizing workload and performance of their team.

**Education / Experience required**
- At least five to eight years in a people manager role, with at least two people managers as direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration or Commerce; degree in a related field or equivalent will also be considered.
- Three to five years of relevant business experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry a strong asset.
- Experience with managing software as a business owner; system life cycle, software development processes and requirements gathering a strong asset.
