**Overview**

The Manager, Finance oversees the financial aspects of the Oncology commercial business unit in AbbVie Canada; this includes the provision of actionable financial information and business insight to enhance decision making and ensure financial and operational objectives are met. This position partners closely with the Oncology Commercial Director and their leadership team to establish strategies and align related tactics/projects across brands, including pipeline assets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide finance leadership to the commercial team to establish strategies that align with business and financial objectives.
- Responsible for conducting gross to net financial modeling aligned with pricing and contracting strategies.
- Lead all P&L related elements of financial planning exercises for Oncology, including: Long Range Plan (LRP), annual operating plans, and monthly forecasts (LBEs).
- Responsible for completing the review, tracking and analysis of Oncology expenses
- Provide financial information to groups supported regarding impacting goals
- Assist Product Managers in establishing Plan, Update and LRP budgets
- Work as needed with the Divisional Finance Manager and various internal AbbVie functional areas with Oncology POCNs and Contracts
- Gathering data from multiple sources (eg. IQVIA, Patient Support Program, etc.) to review public and private payers Oncology invoices
- Completing monthly accruals for Oncology working closely with Market Access, Customer Excellence (Trade), Marketing and Finance Lead
- Providing monthly commentary of results vs. budget.
- Preparing monthly reconciliations of accounts.
- Partner closely with finance teams such as FP&A, Accounting/Controllership & FSS on reporting & general ledger matters.
- Support various process improvement and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.

- Possesses a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal accounting policies, and financial controls framework. Particularly in the areas of revenue recognition, expenditures, and commitments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set and manage multiple priorities to achieve results and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Professional designation preferred (CA, CGA, CMA or MBA).
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bio-pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP & TM1 preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP foundation processes preferred (RTR, OTC, & PTP).
