Operations Manager - Canada

We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Operations Manager to lead the Dispatch & Customer Service Teams. Alongside the operational responsibilities, this person will also be responsible to collaborate with the executive team to reach company goals and organizational alignment. This is a newly created position due to positive company expansion. In this role you will manage and lead your staff, as well you will take part in the maximizing operational efficiencies of the dispatch & customer service teams.

As the Operations Manager you will report into the VP of Operations and together you will attain higher efficiencies. You will also participate in some of the tactical planning with the leadership team. In line with these parts of your role, your overall operational management will be essential to your success and growth.

What your day looks like: - Manage and oversee daily operational activities to ensure the highest productivity possible within dispatch, scheduling & planning - Create & establish cohesive and consistent bookings with your teams - Lead & develop existing dispatch teams - Consistently monitor and report on productivity and efficiency of teams - Lead and mentor customer service department - Ensure dispatch goals & KPI are met or exceeded - Manage the daily operations of truck terminals (planning, booking, optimizing runs etc) - Create strong communication lines between relevant internal departments - Assure smooth communication and collaboration between dispatch & logistic teams - Help onboard new team employees within your departments - Support the existing internal teams - Analyze operational performance and adjust plans accordingly in collaboration with company leaders - Follow up and nurture new business opportunities when presented - Supervision, supporting and mentoring staff

What you bring to the table: - 5+ years in a similar role - Proven track record of managing full cycle operations within the transport industry - Experience managing a team of dispatchers and/or teams within a similar organization - Previous experience as a dispatcher, directly working with clients - Extensive knowledge of the transport & logistics field - Excellent communication skills. in - Experience working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment - Great capacity for collaboration and taking initiative - Self-starter work ethic - You can work independently and are proactive by nature - Have a natural sense of customer service

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
