Mahalo Veterinary Hospital, located in beautiful Nanaimo, BC, is a growing, privately owned hospital that provides GP and Urgent Care services to a wide range of species including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pocket pets and more. We are looking for a reliable and dedicated veterinary assistant, who also has a flair for client care, to add to our team.

**Primary responsibilities would include**: - Assisting with exam room appointments - Preparing laboratory samples for send outs - Running in hospital blood work and setting up cytology and urine samples for microscopic analysis. Helping with radiography (X-Ray) and ultrasonography - Sterilizing surgical instruments and wrapping packs - Patient care including TPR's, walking and feeding in hospital patients. General housekeeping duties including mopping, vacuuming, kennels etc
- Experience monitoring for surgeries would be an asset. Experience with Ezyvet vet software would be an asset. Computer skills are necessary for this position

Must be able to work in Nanaimo British Columbia.

**Job Type**: Full time, 40 hours/ week Monday to Friday, must be available to work evenings and possibly some weekends, if business needs change.

**Salary range**: $ 19-23/hour commensurate with experience

**Salary**: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
