**Description**:
As the Assistant Manager you will work alongside the store manager. The Assistant Manager role is an integral part of store operations and will help support the overall mission, strategy, goals, and objectives of the company by supporting sales, operations, logistics, and human resources.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the implementation of all operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives
- Inventory Management (shared role with Mgmt) - Implementing inventory counts, audting counts and variances, as well as overseeing full-store counts
- Making inventory adjustments as needed
- Prepare weekly inventory receiving checklists for both stores
- Creating reports using excel, including pricing, margins, dated product, overstock, and other reports as needed
- Cash Management - (as needed) - reconcile daily cash, prepare bank deposits, petty cash mgmt, analyze cash variances.
- Supporting the sales floor as needed, which includes interacting with customers, recommending products based on consumer needs, and facilitating transactions
- Troubleshooting POS, debit terminals, ecommerce, security systems, and hardware issues as needed
- Assisting with ordering products and accessories, and the ability to create reorder reports using the data within our POS
- Building purchase orders
- Record keeping, including filing invoices and receipts
- Assisting with interviews, hiring, and onboarding
- Supporting the manager with payroll and scheduling as needed
- Overseeing our benefits program, and as our administrator, you are responsible for registering qualifying staff for our program
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products in store inventory
- Assist in employee performance reviews
- Assisting the store manager with staff sales coaching, KPI training. A good knowledge of retail metrics and KPI's is beneficial
- Liaise with compliance officers, vendors, and local community as required
- Create and submit monthly compliance reports
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations

**Experience**:

- Several years in a retail management role, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- Must have strong POS skills and experience including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Inventory management, audits, and reconciliation
- Payroll preperation and reporting
- Scheduling experience
- Human resources experience
- Employee recruitment, onboarding, discipline, ongoing education, conflict resolution, and inclusion experience
- Sales training, and understanding why creating a good customer experience is so important
- Data entry and reports using excel, google sheets, and spreadsheets
- Compliance
- Store security and operations
- IT management
- Meeting deadlines, targets, and time management is essential
