**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

**Duties**:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business objectives
- Source and procure materials, parts, and equipment required for production
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the production team to prevent shortages
- Utilize MRP systems to track orders and manage inventory levels
- Coordinate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs
- Maintain vendor relationships and resolve any issues that may arise
- Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in vendor management and negotiation
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes
- Ability to fabricate cost-effective purchasing strategies
- Knowledge of sourcing techniques and best practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze pricing proposals effectively
- Knowledge of MS Word, Office, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of Sage 300

Pay: From $54,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:
