_Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper_
We are looking for Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant who has great verbal communication skills, personable, positive, reliable, great work ethic and is willing to be flexible with balancing the work of both roles.
This is an 100% in office position.
**The Roles**:
- **Office Support**_
- Communicate and coordinate vendor onsite visits, report issues to vendors
- Assists with organizing files and with filing
- Assist with labels, mail, packages, and couriers
- Assists with organizational events: meetings, lunches, parties
- Order office and production supplies
- Assist with other admin duties as instructed
- **Bookkeeping**_
- Collects, sorts and organizes bills, statements, and credit card receipts
- Manages Accounts Payable (QuickBooks) and Accounts Receivable
- Reconciles credit card and bank accounts monthly
- Manages and prepares quarterly GST payments
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Updating various spreadsheets for internal tracking
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years administrative/bookkeeping experience
- Proficient in written communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- ~40 WPM typing skill
- A team player committed to supporting colleagues and pitching in where needed
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Prior experience working in the food industry or professional services industry is an asset
**Shifts**:
Monday to Friday: 8am to 4pm
- Be eager to learn and work pro-actively in a team
- Share our passion for food and support for the local food industry
- Be able to follow instructions and have attention to detail
- Work in a neat and orderly manner
- Be friendly and have a positive attitude
Additional overtime may be occur during busy seasons (spring and summer).
