The AVP Wealth Strategy & Transformation will be responsible for the development of key Wealth growth and transformation strategies at a business and enterprise level. The position will be focused on developing programs aligned to Wealth’s value proposition and Meridian’s enterprise strategy.
The position will report to the SVP Wealth & Financial Planning and will work in collaboration with the Senior Wealth Leadership team and cross functionally across the organization to lead and develop these strategies. The position will provide strategic advice on key topics through research, analysis and strategic recommendations (i.e., working with external consultants and acting as the internal strategy consultant).
**What will you do?**
- Provide customized strategy development in collaboration with key Meridian partners including Retail, Business Banking, Digital, Marketing, COO Shared Services, Finance, Enterprise Strategy & EPMO, Risk, ESG
- Partner closely with cross functional project teams to lead and develop the following
- Business Banking, Retail and Wealth integrated programs
- Insurance and Private Wealth expansion
- Equity deserving segments program development
- Wealth digital strategy focused on enhancing the Member and Advisor experience
- Development of strategic Wealth programs which include working with external consultants and project teams on Member journey mapping and incubation of a retail/wealth planning proposition
- Development of Wealth acquisition and brand programs in collaboration with cross functional teams
- Manage the strategic annual business planning process in conjunction with Finance and COO Shared Services teams and management of monthly Board reporting
- Staying current on industry and investor trends and recommending innovative ideas to advance the Wealth business and deliver a superior Member and Advisor experience.
**What you bring to Meridian**
- 10+ years of Wealth industry experience, MBA education preferred with CFA, CFP, CIM or other industry accreditation
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen in Wealth management industry and understanding of client trends
- Knowledge and experience with wealth digital platforms and experience dealing with Fintechs and Management Consultants
- Ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to communicate verbally and written, with senior executives as well as build and present complex presentations within a storyboard context
- Comfortable working with ambiguity
- Exceptional data analytical and synthesis skills, including ability to discern research information / data and focus on the critical business issues
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic business environment.
**Office Location: 3330 Bloor Street West, Toronto OR 75 Corporate Park Drive, St. Catharines.**
