The YWCA Hotel is seeking a dynamic and organized Sales Coordinator to join our team. This individual must possess excellent organization and communication skills in customer relations. Reporting to Sales Manager, this newly created position assists in all aspects of the sales process and initiatives.
The YWCA Hotel is a social enterprise of **YWCA Metro Vancouver.** Revenue generated from our hotel goes to support the YWCA community programs and services. Established in 1897, YWCA’s vision is to achieve women’s equality and its mission is to touch lives and build better futures for women and their families.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain good rapport with clients and team members
- Work with Sales Manager on conference and corporate businesses
- Provide clear, professional, and detailed communication to clients/partners on a timely manner
- Ensure all incoming requests and reservations are accurately captured in the PMS system, and create group blocks and prepare contracts where required
- Monitor pickup/allotment, release and cut off dates to maximize room revenue and guest satisfaction
- Review folios and accurately invoice clients/partners promptly or on schedule
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate details and special requests
- Assist with familiarization trips and site inspections as required
- Supports Sales Manager through various sales related tasks, communications, initiatives and report generation
- Assist Sales Manager with preparation for trade and consumer shows, and attend the events when needed
- Update and maintain sales database and statistics records
- Perform other duties that may be assigned

**Qualifications**:
We are looking for a passionate, dynamic, energetic, and detail-oriented individual to join our sales team in the role of Sales Coordinator.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, time management with an ability to multi-task & meet deadlines in a high-pressure work environment
- Experience in using hotel programs such as Opera, SiteMinder and Maximizer would be an asset
- Self-motivated and must have excellent customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Must be friendly, passionate, professional and excellent team player
- Post-secondary education in Hotel Management/Sales & Marketing and/or Administrative Studies, or equivalent experience would be an asset
- Previous hotel experience would be an asset
- Proven written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in producing professional business documents and communications
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Successful applicants are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, exemption requests must be supported by valid, legal documents
- A valid criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required
