**The salary range for this position is**:
**Recruitment range: $67,040- $73,911 starting salary **determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.
**Performance range: starting salary to max of $87,175 **is available through annual performance increases.

- Job SummaryReporting to the Program Manager, and working closely with staff within the assigned Co-op and Career unit, the Employer Development Officer develops and generates employment opportunities from within the local community, across Canada and internationally using client relationship strategies for Co-op and Career students. The Employer Development Officer serves as initial contact for employer development related matters and inquiries. Through environmental research and analysis, the Employer Development Officer leverages labour market information to facilitate regular contact and relationship management of employer clients that are directly relevant to our programs and students. The Employer Development Officer is responsible for reporting on related metrics and deliverables in order to develop strategic approaches to developing employment opportunities with employers and will participate in networking related activities. Some occasional travel, within Victoria, including overnight throughout Canada, may be required.

As a professional member of the Co-op and Career Services team, the Employment Development Officer supports delivery of services, initiatives and events as required to meet service standards and expectations.
- Job Requirements- A combination of fundraising, sales and/or marketing
- Customer relationship management

An equivalent combination of education, training and work experience may be considered.

In addition, the position requires the following abilities:

- Work and communicate effectively orally and in writing, with tact and diplomacy, with a variety of internal and external contacts
- Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent team building skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural, communication, public relations, and networking skills
- Experience working with students
- Demonstrated career planning skills
- Knowledge and awareness of discipline specific labour market conditions and trends
- A familiarity with spreadsheets and databases as well as knowledge of Student Management Systems such as BANNER and/or FAST.
