Experience in processing, analyzing, and interpreting scientific data.
Experience in summarizing and preparing data visually using software such as Microsoft Office products.
Experience working on fisheries projects, such as those focused on understanding productivity, behaviour, growth, survival, harvest, or escapement.
Experience in operating and maintaining specialized technical equipment used for conducting field or laboratory studies.
Experience working safely in field and office environments, including experience following standard field safety procedures and protocols.

Experience in organizing and conducting scientific projects relating to aquatic environments or aquatic species.
Experience with fish enumeration (juvenile and adult) and/or catch monitoring programs.
Experience in preparing technical reports using software such as Microsoft Office products.
Experience in operating and maintaining specialized technical equipment for the conduct of aquatic field or laboratory studies focused on fish productivity, behaviour, growth, survival, harvest or escapement.
Experience in providing scientific information, advice, or recommendations.

**Education**:
Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

**Experience**:
Experience in organizing and conducting stock assessments of anadromous salmonids. Experience operating and maintaining field equipment such as boats, motors, vehicles, inflatable rafts, seine nets, or biological sampling and mechanical equipment.
Experience with planning, conducting, or analyzing data from creel surveys.
Experience in utilizing and/or maintaining scientific databases.
Experience with GIS software and spatial analytical techniques.
Experience developing or manipulating large datasets using relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MS Access).
Experience with R and RStudio.
Experience liaising, collaborating, or working cooperatively with clients, industry, stakeholders, or with Indigenous Governments or Organizations.
Experience with salmon escapement and recreational fishery monitoring programs.
Experience in auditing and training field crews.
Experience conducting fish enumeration snorkel surveys in fresh water streams.
Experience with wood construction or metal fabrication.
Experience with basic electrical work associated with supplying power to remote monitoring equipment (e.g. batteries, solar, fuel cell generators, etc).
