We are currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our Boart Longyear team in North Bay, Ontario.
**Responsibilities**
- Process Customer Claims- Review NCR’s and assign Corrective actions.- Conduct Root Cause analysis and provide corrective actions for A3 Reports (Cost Saving)- Cost Saving Projects for scrap reduction- Conduct Internal ISO Audits- Create Standard Work Document (Inspections)- Manage Gauge Calibration System- Assist with Reverse Engineering Projects.- Claim Review- Production spot audits.- Other tasks as assigned.**Minimum Qualifications**
- College Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent-
- Knowledge of ISO systems- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Theories- Knowledge of Gauging principles- Knowledge of Metrology- Strong communication skills in English (French an asset)- MS Office Suite- Experience with MRP systems (Oracle preferred)- Experience in a union shop an asset- Self-starter that seeks out opportunities for improvements- Works well with mínimal direction- Not afraid to ask for assistance or clarification- Valid Driver’s license an asset- Must be authorized to work in Canada**Compensation, Benefits and Perks**
